Annual
"If Tombstones Could Talk" Cemetery Walk -
Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.
Visitors can get a flavor for this community's rich history in a cemetery
that was founded in 1862 as Fox Hills Cemetery. A section of the current cemetery
was once part of the bay of Green Bay. Hear volunteer actors tell first person
accounts about life in Green Bay from the frontier days until the 1950s and
1960s. Notables such as hospital founder and physician Dr. Julius Bellin,
Packer great Arnie Herber and opera star Lucille Meusel are featured, among
many others.
Cost is $5.00 for individuals;
$12.00 for families with children 16 and under. Call (920) 437-1840 or email
us for more information.
Note: This is a tour that involves walking and standing during each presentation.
The use of lightweight, portable lawn chairs is encouraged. The tour is wheelchair
accessible, but be prepared for some uneven terrain. Visitors must provide
their own lawn chairs and wheelchairs.

Fort Howard's chapel can be used, or the program can be brought to your organization or home.
